No way we could land both. Would waaay rather we take a run at Ryan over Evander. Kane is a first class douche bag, and we just got rid of the other one we had.

Disappointing to hear GMMB say the habs may start the season with 3 goalies... that isn't going to help the return for whomever we move.

Hoping the team will at least sign Valk to a minor league/Utica contract...

But to be cynical, he was the odd man out of LA, if he was all that great they would have found a way to keep him.... and I guess the retort to a statement like that is to look at Canada's Olympic team and Subban coming off a recent Norris trophy is a spare...

Yes and no. Stacked teams do have a hard time finding spots for their rookies. The real tell tail is that the canucks got him for a late (50th overall) 2nd round pick.

Studs don't usually get traded for late second round picks.

One second line, two 3rd lines and one 4th line.
Not enough in our division.
But we will get a top 15 draft pick.

True, but he is waiver eligible this year which is why they traded him.

Being positive is hard for some. Firing Torts and Gillis is the only positivity I need. It wasn't the players last year it was a disaster of a coach and system, but he's gone and some people still need some thing or someone to blame, so that blame is dumped on the players because they are the ones still here. If you need someone to blame point your finger at the owner. The players just play the game others guide them.

I don't have a huge problem with that lineup. I am still undecided if Horvat should stay and play a limited role or return to jr. for more icetime. There is no rush to have Jensen or Shink in the lineup on opening night if they are not top 6 here but get the ice time in Utica.

Just because the Sedins and Vrbata are all old, doesn't necessarily mean they are a 2nd line... lets wait to see if the Sedins can recapture some of their moxie and get it going again.

Anyway, I can live with the lineup and will have to live with the results.
